The Champa / Plumeria plant is a genus of flowering plants in the subfamily Rauvolfioideae, of the family Apocynaceae. Most species are deciduous shrubs or small trees. It is also known as the ‘Champa’ and the ‘Frangipani’ plant and is used as an ornamental plant in landscaping. The flowers come in shades of pink, red, white, yellow, or bicolor.
